Spring is on the way and that means we’re gearing up to launch our fleet of demo bikes.
This year we’ll have even more motorbikes available for test rides with manufacturers ramping up production to overcome lack of stock caused by the Covid pandemic.
Many of our demo bikes will be wearing 23 registration plates and will be available from 1 March so we’re also hoping for some good weather.
We already have a wide range of KTMs, part of an 11-strong fleet, ready for the road including:
- KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo
- KTM 1290 Super Duke GT
- KTM 1290 Super Adventure S
- KTM 890 Duke GP
- KTM 790 Duke
- KTM 890 Adventure
- KTM 390 Adventure
- KTM 690 SMCR
Still to come from KTM are a 390 Duke, 790 Adventure and new 890 SMT Supermoto Touring, the latter completing the line-up in late June or early July.
Kawasaki will be represented with the following demo bikes:
- Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX
- Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX
- Kawasaki Z900RS
- Kawasaki Z900 Performance
- Kawasaki Z650RS
- Kawasaki Ninja 650
- Kawasaki Versys 1000
- Kawasaki Versys 650
- Kawasaki Ninja 400
Our Suzuki demo bikes will initially include:
- Suzuki GSX-S1000GT
- Suzuki V-Strom DL1050DE
- Suzuki V-Strom DL650XT
- Suzuki SV650
- Suzuki Avenis scooter and possibly an Address
We hope the new parallel-twin Suzuki GSX-8S will be on the fleet in May, followed soon after by the V-Strom DL800DE.
Dave Willis, Orwell director and co-owner, said: “We’ve not done too many demo bikes for the last two years because of limited stock so it was all about supplying customers.
“Fewer motorbikes were available for demo fleets because of the demand to fulfill customer orders. Now there’s more stock around this year we’re putting more motorbikes on our demo fleet.
“It’s good to have a larger number of motorbikes for people to test because they like to ride before they buy and I don’t blame them. Now we can give them even more choice.”
