KTM expansion heralds our first off-road motorbikes

We’ve now been awarded the Suffolk franchise for KTM off-road motorbikes as well as its street bikes range.

Becoming a KTM full line dealership also marks a new chapter in the history of Orwell Motorcycles as it’ll be the first time we’ve sold off-road motorbikes. And several members of the team have experience riding them.

Sales manager Mark Trench said: “It’s our first step into off-road motorbikes and opens up a whole new market for us.”

The Motocross and Enduro models are due to arrive in the showroom in June but, until then, you can check out the full range of models on our website.

When they do arrive, the off-road motorbikes will be new 2022 year models because KTM’s factory production schedule means it makes the new year off-road models first, followed by the street machines.

Mark expects good demand for KTM’s MX and Enduro motorbikes because they’re highly acclaimed and leaders in the off-road field.

“KTM is such major player that if you go to an off-road event you see more orange than any other colour.

“The off-road sector is not as big a market as street bikes but KTM has a very strong presence in it, having started there.”

Having built its reputation off-road, KTM then developed its street bikes range.

“KTM came from the off-road world and that is its core market,” he explained.

The expansion of the KTM range, as a full 360 KTM dealership, will build on our successful first year with the street bikes franchise which has proved a worthy addition to our business.

“We knew KTM is a big player, and its products are really good, but we’ve been impressed how well the franchise has grown in a short period of time of just a year,” he added.
