Excitement grows as Suzuki SV-7GX crossover incoming

Everyone is very excited about the imminent arrival of Suzuki’s new middleweight SV-7GX adventure crossover.
Suzuki sales specialist Charlie Lidderth has been engaging with customers who are showing a lot of interest in this new model which reinvents the legendary 650 V-twin engine.
We hope to see it in the showroom later this month and we have our own demo bike on the way too.
Meanwhile, customers and potential buyers had an early taster of the SV-7GX with Suzuki GB bringing one to Orwell Motorcycles for two days of pre-booked test rides at the end of last month as part of its dealer tour.
“We’ve already sold some Suzuki SV-7GXs and registered serious interest. Many more people will wait to see it in the showroom and then we expect many more orders,” he said.
“The SV-7GX has had such good write-ups and reviews that a lot of people have just put their name down for one.
“Many customers were sad Suzuki was not making the SV650 anymore. Used ones often sold within a week so they are still mega popular.
“People who have owned a Suzuki 650 have said how they love the bike.”
The SV-7GX, from £6,999 to £7,399 on the road depending on colour scheme, is powered by the proven 73PS 645cc V-twin engine, updated to meet Euro5+ emissions standards.
It gets a new magneto, transmission gears and exhaust while ride-by-wire throttle means it now features bi-directional quickshifter, three traction control modes and three power modes.
Options include an 80mm taller touring screen, 25mm thicker comfort seat, heated grips, 27 and 45-litre top boxes and soft expandable side panniers and tank banks.
We also got to see the new Suzuki GSX-R1000R 40th Anniversary Edition but not for long as it had been pre-sold. We have now sold a second model so they’re not hanging about.
