Thanks to all you lady motorbike riders and pillions who gave us some tremendous feedback in our survey of what you want to see in our range of women’s clothing.
We’re expanding our range of clothing designed for women so used our social media feeds to ask:
- Would you like to see more ladies’ clothing in our store?
- Which clothing brands would you like to see on our shelves?
- Do you spend most of your time on bike as a rider or pillion?
We were overwhelmed by your comments and advice with more than 200 responses.
And your suggestions left us with no doubts about what you wanted from our ladies’ clothing including:
- Decent protection with AA or AAA-rated ladies’ clothing.
- More motorbike casualwear such as comfortable, fitted jeans and hoodies.
- Clothes for taller women.
- More clothes for petite women.
- Plus sizes or at least a set of bigger sizes for women to try on.
- Longer boots with wider calves and gloves with shorter fingers.
- No pink clothing.
- Many of you suggested the MotoGirl brand of women’s motorbike clothing and accessories.
We’ve listened to what you want and have already moved into the next phase of growing our stock of ladies’ clothing.
We’re taking on the MotoGirl clothing franchise, and will be its first stockist in Suffolk, so you can try it on.
Stock is now starting to arrive and there is a quick turnaround for products ordered in.
Molly Mizon, our marketing manager, said the survey had more than 34,000 views and 200 plus comments.
“We got lots of useful information from the ladies who responded to our questions.
“They wanted more women’s clothing in sizes that related more to real women,” she explained. “We needed a wider variety of sizes including extra small and larger.”
Molly explained that one woman said females made up half the world’s population and a quarter of bikers, both as riders and pillion passengers, and they want clothing designed to suit their figures and curves rather than, in some cases, having to make do with men’s clothing that does not suit them.
MotoGirl products come in up to 10 different sizes from XXS, which equates to a size six, to 5XL which is a size 24.
“From what I have read about MotoGirl the sizes are pretty bang on,” said Molly.
“The products are safe, reasonably priced, aesthetically pleasing and will fit a wide range of women. They look nice and are stylish too.
“We also spoke to a lot of women riders who love the MotoGirl brand and we haven’t heard a single bad thing about it.”
MotoGirl also has a new menswear collection called MotoBull.
