Technicians strike gold with technology training

POSTED: 31/12/2024

Technology and training go hand in hand and we pride ourselves that our technicians keep up to date with the latest advances in motorcycling.

Chris Beedon and Mark Kimble have just achieved their KTM gold level training, which covers the brand’s comprehensive electronics systems, at KTM’s HQ at Silverstone Park.

KTM’s bronze level training covers pre-delivery inspections and electrics and the silver level involves stripping and rebuilding engines and suspension systems.

We now have three gold level KTM technicians with Chris and Mark joining Ben Towner.

Three more of our technicians have completed KTM’s bronze level training.

Mark has been busy because he and Ben have just completed their IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry) accreditation as motorcycle diagnostic technicians at Kawasaki UK’s HQ at Bourne End in Buckinghamshire.

It was the first time Mark has done this training while Ben was renewing his accreditation after three years.

Dave Willis said technology was constantly evolving so it was important our technicians kept their training up to date.

“We can’t rest on our laurels so technology and training go hand in hand. We want all our technicians to be at the highest level we can get them to.

“We have to have one KTM gold level technician and one IMI-accredited technician but we now have three of each. I want to get everyone as skilled as possible.”
