Suzuki has made a flying start to 2024 with the latest models coming on stream, more in the pipeline, attractive new offers and a very positive dealer conference.
The taller GSX-S1000GX sports crossover, an extension upwards of the GT sports tourer that can also compete with adventure tourers, is now on our demo fleet alongside the more road-focused V-Strom 800RE.
We’ve already sold two GXs so have high hopes for this exciting new model.
They should be joined early this month by the new GSX-8R sportbike, a faired version of the much-praised GSX-8S, which will also be available for demo rides.
The GSX-S1000GX introduces Suzuki Advanced Electronic Suspension. It’s the first Suzuki with semi-active suspension with a variety of settings that automatically adjust to riding conditions.
With sports performance and long-distance capability and comfort, it features a comprehensive set of next-generation rider aids.
Suzuki’s new offers launch this month and run until the end of March.
- 4.9% APR PCP and HP finance, with a minimum £100 deposit, and £750 off GSX-S1000, GT and GT+ and Hayabusa.
- £1,000 of free Suzuki accessories on all V-Strom 1050, DE and Tour models.
No wonder the recent Suzuki dealer conference in Cheshire was so upbeat with new models and attractive deals.
Sales manager Mark Trench, who went to the conference with Dave Willis and Rob Walters, said: “It was very positive with its current range and up-and-coming models.
“Suzuki is talking about eight new models over the next few years, on top of the GSX-S1000GX and GSX-8R launched this year.”
These new models are expected to include electric motorbikes and sport models.
Suzuki has also increased its market share by 54% in the UK and Suzuki GB is the top-selling brand distributor in Europe.
On a personal note, Orwell Motorcycles was the seventh-placed UK dealership when it came to increased sales.
Looking ahead, a couple of diary dates for Suzuki fans.
- 8-9 March – a demo event as part of a national campaign.
- 22-23 June – Suzuki Live at Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire.
We’re also looking to host a demo day in July to compare GSX-S1000GT to the latest GSX-S1000GX.
Mark added: “The Suzuki range has been improving for the last three or four years. It’s now covering all markets.”
