Suzuki’s V-Strom adventure motorbike range gets another boost with a touring version of the new, more road-focused 800RE.
The V-Strom 800RE Tour comes with 112 litres of aluminium luggage. The three-piece luggage pack, a top box and two panniers, is available in silver or black.
At £11,199 on the road, customers save £706 over equipping the standard V-Strom 800RE with the individual accessories. The standard 800RE costs £9,699.
The 800RE Tour comes in blue, matt steel green or black and expands the V-Strom 800 range to four models powered by the new torquey 776cc parallel twin engine.
The 800RE models come with 19in front and 17in rear cast aluminium wheels.
Aluminium, rubber-covered footpegs are set 14mm further back and 7mm higher than the more off-road biased V-Strom 800DE while the aluminium tapered handlebars are 13mm lower, 23mm further forwards and 15mm narrower.
A taller, wider screen offers more weather and wind protection.
The 800RE’s Showa suspension’s travel has been reduced to 150mm, front and rear, for superior on-road performance.
A bi-directional quickshifter, three power modes and three traction control settings, which can also be switched off, are standard.
