Special models celebrate Z 50th anniversary
Kawasaki’s celebration of 50 years of the ‘Z’ range is creating lots of excitement and interest with four special anniversary models based on the Z900RS, Z650RS, Z900 and Z650.
They feature colour schemes that hark back to iconic old Kawasakis. The new models will also come with a Z Chronicles book commemorating the history of the famous moniker.
The 50th Anniversary models are limited and we’ve been allocated three Z900RS and one Z650RS specials and two Z900s and one Z650 so if you’re interested, don’t delay contacting our sales team. The bikes will be arriving between March and August.
The £11,449 Z900RS and £8,049 Z650RS modern classics are finished in Candy Diamond Brown, with an orange ‘Fireball’ livery, inspired by the original 1972 Kawasaki Z1. They have a gloss black frame, retro grab rails and new seat leather with contrast stitching.
They also get gold wheels, a Z50th logo on the tank and a ‘Double Overhead Camshaft’ emblem on the side panels which also harks back to old Zs.
The £9,799 Z900 and £7,349 Z650 Z50 models are finished in Firecracker Red which was used on the 1981 Z flagship Z1100GP and GPZ900R. The Z900’s front forks are gold coloured while both get red rims, a new seat and a Z50th logo on the front mudguard.
The Z900 50th Anniversary is available with a £900 Performance kit of Akrapovic carbon slip-on exhaust and heat shield, large meter cover fly screen, tank pad and Firecracker Red pillion seat cover.
The Z650 50th Anniversary is offered with Performance and Urban kits at £1,500 and £220 respectively.
The Performance kit comprises Akrapovic full exhaust system, Firecracker Red pillion seat cover, tank pad and meter cover fly screen.
The Urban kit comprises a 30-litre top case, with Firecracker Red cover, and bracket.
