The threat of thunderstorms and torrential rain forced us to postpone our demo day with Suffolk Advanced Motorcyclists but we have some more dates for your diary.
Our demo day will soon be rearranged so keep checking our social media channels to find out the new date.
But we have two other events, one at the showroom and another off-site, you might be interested in.
We support Alde Valley Classics Day on Sunday 10 August but will not be there as a dealership.
It is being held at the Riverside Centre, Stratford St Andrew, near Saxmundham, from 11am to 4pm.
Visitors can enjoy a display of more than 200 pre-1995 classic cars, motorbikes, tractors and other vehicles as well as refreshments, barbecue, stalls, live music and a licensed bar at the Riverside Centre.
Admission costs £2.50 for adults with children under 14 free. Car parking is also free. Dogs, kept on a short lead, are allowed on the field only.
And on Saturday 30 August, we have a Club Kawasaki cake and coffee morning at our Ranelagh Road showroom in Ipswich from 10am to 2pm.
There will be cakes for sale, free coffee and a charity raffle, with some great prizes, in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Dave Willis said everyone had been disappointed that the demo day, scheduled for Saturday 19 July, had to be called off because of the grim weather forecast.
“With a heavy heart we decided to cancel the SAM demo day the day before the event. Due to the weather warnings we thought it was a sensible thing to do.
“Typically, most of the worst weather was out of the way, with just light rain on the day that we could have coped with, but we’d decided we couldn’t take the risk. With the forecast thunder and lightning it would have been a bit irresponsible to have gone ahead with the full demo event.
“But we still want to rearrange a demo day.”
Customers who had booked test rides were contacted and could still take the bikes out but not on escorted rides that were going to be run by SAM members.
