Paul Huggins has joined our parts department and is delighted to be back in the motorbike trade.
Our new parts and accessories specialist was no stranger to Orwell Motorcycles having bought a handful of motorbikes from us over the years.
Paul, who lives in Ipswich, worked in the motorbike trade for around 10 years doing parts counter sales with one company and then became sales manager of a business-to-business enterprise supplying motorbike parts.
He then worked for himself and also in a builders’ merchants before coming back to the motorcycle industry.
“It’s something I should have never left,” he said. “I’m glad I’m back.
“Everyone knows everyone else in the motorbike trade. It’s the camaraderie and a happy industry to work in.”
Having been a customer of Orwell Motorcycles for many years, he’s enjoying being part of our team.
“It’s great. It really is a family.
“I knew people here long before I actually came here. I used to buy bikes from Orwell Motorcycles. Any bike you get from here is completely ready to go.”
Paul, 56, does not drive a car so motorbikes have been his main form of transport all year round since the Eighties.
He reckons he has had at least 30 including Honda XL125s and Lambretta and Vespa scooters.
He is currently riding his newest model, a quality used Suzuki GSX-8S he bought from us.
Other models he has fond memories of owning include a Triumph Daytona 955i, Suzuki Bandit 1200, 1994 Honda Fireblade and a Suzuki GSX-R600 SRAD.
Away from work he is a fan of horror and ghost stories and writes his own, publishing two novels himself and a collection of short stories.
