One lucky customer has collected KTM’s most ferocious Beast – the 2023 limited edition 1290 Super Duke RR.
This Super Naked, which puts the RR in Ready to Race, boasts a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio, delivering 180hp and weighing just 180kg dry.
At £22,999, it costs £6,000 more than the standard 1290 Super Duke R but weighs 9kg less with almost every single body panel made from lightweight materials or carbon fibre.
It features WP Apex Pro components like those on full-factory racing machines, a unique colour scheme and premium parts never before seen on a KTM.
Limited to 500 units worldwide, the 1290 Super Duke RR sold out quickly and we managed to get one which went fast, like the bike itself.
KTM first produced a limited run of 1290 Super Duke RRs two years ago and we got only one of them then too.
Rob Walters said: “They’re like gold dust and sell just like that.”
The 1290 Super Duke RR includes:
- A full set of carbon fibre body parts including undertray and bespoke single seat tail unit.
- WP Apex Pro front and rear suspension and steering damper.
- Ultra-lightweight, seven-spoke forged wheels.
- Michelin Power Cup2 tyres.
- Titanium Akrapovic slip-on exhaust
- Quick-turn throttle twist grip.
- Lightweight lithium-ion battery.
- All-new rear-light integrated indicators.
- Five ride modes – street, sport, rain, performance and track.
- Adaptive brake light.
- Adjustable footpegs.
