Orwell Motorcycles is going from strength to strength with a second new motorbike brand to give customers even more choice.
Having recently added Royal Enfield to our existing Kawasaki, KTM and Suzuki franchises, we’ve now also taken on CFMoto, our first Chinese manufacturer.
Our first delivery of around 20 CFMoto motorbikes is due in April.
We plan to carry a good range of CFMoto models in a new display area.
The CFMoto models will go at the end of the KTM display in what was the waiting area where the seating and coffee machine used to be.
Dave Willis said: “CFMoto has had a successful introduction to the UK market and the models are getting very good reviews.”
CFMoto produces the KTM 790 Adventure and Duke in China, and some smaller KTM motorbikes for the Chinese market. Many KTM engines also power CFMoto models.
“I haven’t heard a bad word said about CFMoto’s motorbikes,” he said.
The range of naked, grand touring, adventure touring, classic and sport racing models has just been boosted by the new 675SR-R which, with its powerful triple-cylinder engine, is being compared to Triumph’s Daytona and Street Triple models.
There are several reasons we’ve decided to take on the CFMoto franchise.
- They are distributed in the UK by commercial partner KTM, which we already work with through our franchise, so know we can get stock and parts.
- CFMoto reviews have been excellent and our staff also looked at the motorbikes and were more than happy to sell and even own them.
- CFMoto motorbikes are at a price point where the market is these days.
“They are good value for money and it gives our customers another option for owning a motorbike.
“I reckon that in five years CFMoto will be in the top 10 selling brands, up there with the Japanese brands, and we want to be there at the start of that journey.
“We’re happy to sell them because we’re happy with the build quality and aftersales back-up that KTM will provide.”
