The new year heralds the start of the latest models arriving at the dealership.
They create a lot of interest in the showroom and are popular when they join our fleet of demo motorbikes.
First to arrive are the new Kawasaki Versys 1100 and Ninja 1100SX, due late last month, and now ready to be unveiled.
Both new arrivals will be our demo bikes.
The adventure bike and sport tourer share a new engine, up from 1,043cc to 1,099cc, and a host of updates and refinements.
The bigger, torquier engine is also more fuel-efficient.
The Versys 1100 is priced from £11,899 with the S version from £13,649 and SE from £15,649.
The Ninja 1100SX starts at £12,249 with an additional SE model for 2025 from £13,999.
The new KTM 125 and 390 Enduro R and SMC R models and 390 Adventure R should be at the dealership in March, in time for the new riding season.
While welcoming the new arrivals, Dave Willis does not think motorbike stock will be quite as plentiful this year as manufacturers cut back to avoid over-production.
“We think that, after a few years of over-stocking, we might struggle to get all the motorbikes we want.”
It all stems from the Covid years when, with motorbike factories closed, there was a dearth of new machines which boosted the used market.
When production returned to normal, many manufacturers built too many motorbikes which led to oversupply. Now production is coming back into line to better match demand for new motorbikes.
