New stock still trickling into showroom

We’re now halfway through 2022 and the number of new motorbikes arriving in the showroom traditionally slows down as manufacturers turn their attention to the new model year.

Not that we’ve had an unlimited supply for the past couple of years with production hit by Covid-forced factory closures, a shortage of computer chips and disrupted supply chain of both new motorbikes and parts.

Our team has risen to the challenge and we’ve fared well when it comes to stock compared to some dealers.

Dave Willis said: “We get our big supply of new motorbikes in the first half of the year, in time for the summer season, and then the supply drops off again as we wait for the new model year.

“We normally have an idea of what we’re getting, and when they’ll arrive, but this year we had new bike stock delivered in the first three months and then it’s been about sold orders.

“We’re hoping that the new 2023 models will start coming in earlier, possibly from September, but there are no guarantees.”

That said, our new 2023 model year KTM off-road motorbikes are starting to trickle in to the showroom as they are built before the new street bikes.

With Kawasaki and Suzuki we’re striving to get models still available from any surplus stock or even other dealers.
