If you want a lightweight, casual, stylish motorbike riding shirt, that is not bulky but offers good protection, check out the new Merlin Sherbrook which is now in stock.
Finished in red, green and grey with a large black check design, it looks like the popular Merlin Axe riding shirt (also available in grey and red).
The Axe is double layer, with a separate protective lining, but the Sherbrook is a single layer of Cordura flannel cotton, which includes protective fibres in the weave, with a mesh lining.
It is fitted with D3O’s flexible Ghost shoulder and elbow armour and has a pocket for an optional Viper Stealth back protector, making it one of Merlin’s best-equipped and most-protective riding shirts yet.
It also has two chest patch pockets, two side zipped pockets and storage pockets inside.
The less bulky Merlin Sherbrook riding shirt is £199, compared to £139 for the Axe.
Daniel Williams, our parts, clothing and accessories manager, said the single-layer Sherbrook was lighter, more comfortable and offered even better protection.
And check out Merlin’s new Cody riding hoodie, at £199.99, which is lined with DuPont Kevlar in key impact areas and also features D30 armour.
