We had one of our best-ever March sales months this year - thanks to the unseasonably warm weather, some great manufacturer promotions and newly-launched and updated models which encouraged people to change and buy bikes.
Our best-selling bike was the new Kawasaki Z1000SX sport tourer but there was a good spread between Suzuki and Kawasaki while both new and used models proved appealing.
Strong new bike sales also mean a good stock of well cared-for used machines.
We try to hold 50 to 80 used bikes in stock, many Kawasakis and Suzukis we’ve sold and looked after from new, but also a good selection of Triumphs, BMWs, Yamahas and Hondas.
Sales manager Mark Trench said: “We are very fussy and particularly concentrate on low-mileage, late bikes with good history and provenance.
“We carry out a background check on all the bikes we bring in and take great pride in the way they are prepared by our valeter Stewart Wakeling, so much so that people often mistake our used bikes for new ones.”
Some used models reflect new bike launches with many owners trading in current machines for the latest version, for example the Kawasaki Z1000SX.
