Motorbike sales have moved up a gear after a really strong start this year.
Sales in the first quarter were 16.1% up on the same period of 2025, according to the Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA).
And we’re pleased with the way our five franchises are performing.
Dave Willis said sales of new motorbikes at Orwell Motorcycles so far this year were about 75% up on last year.
“New bike sales in 2024 saw a great start to the year but this year the momentum is continuing.”
He said Kawasaki was performing particularly strongly with our sales up by about a third on last year and new Suzuki registrations were around 10% higher, both boosted by new models and attractive offers.
CFMOTO is a new brand that is getting plenty of attention as more models arrive in the showroom. The 450MT adventure motorbike is proving a big hit with riders.
KTM’s comeback continues after its financial problems and restructuring. Full-scale production is now on stream with long-awaited models now in the showroom.
Royal Enfield sales are maintaining momentum after a successful launch.
“Royal Enfield has remained steady in the retro market which has become increasingly busy with new models being launched,” Dave explained.
