Summer motorbike sales get another boost this month with the arrival of the new 75 registration plate.
We’re working hard, getting all the new motorbikes ready for owners to collect this month.
That said, it’s been a pretty busy year with a steady summer season of new and used motorbike sales.
Mark Trench, our new dealer principal, said: “It was a slightly slow start to the season but ramped up when the sun came out.
“We’ve been blessed with really nice weather which helps the motorcycle trade and we’ve had a great season.
“People have continued to buy bikes throughout August rather than wait for the new registration plate. So September doesn’t currently look as though it is going to be quite as good as it has been some other years but it’s been a very steady season.”
Our new Royal Enfield franchise, which we took on this year, has surpassed all expectations.
“Royal Enfield has really worked for us, much better than any of us could have hoped for.
“I set my sights on where I’d hoped we would be on numbers but sales have exceeded even my expectations.”
It’s been a difficult year for KTM, with the company’s financial woes and major restructuring. Now they are sorted, KTM is back producing motorbikes that customers want. And they’re now starting to arrive in the dealership over the rest of this year.
“KTM’s products have always been desirable and good quality but now it needs to restore people’s confidence in the company.”
