Motorcycle Live was a cracker this year with our three brands unveiling a host of new models.
Director Rob Walters, Suzuki sales specialist Dale Allerton and sales support Joe Willis were spoiled for choice at the hugely-popular event at Birmingham NEC with strong showings from all three of our brands – Kawasaki, KTM and Suzuki.
Rob said: “It was good to see Kawasaki, KTM and Suzuki among the most popular stands at Motorcycle Live.”
Kawasaki’s new models included:
- New Hybrid Ninja 7 and Z 7 Hybrid which join the all-electric Ninja and Z e-1
- Three special Ninja 40th anniversary colour schemes for the Ninja ZX-10R
- GPz-inspired anniversary versions of the Ninja 1000SX and Ninja 650
- New Ninja and Z500 twins
- New Eliminator 500 cruiser
“The Kawasaki hybrids were creating a lot of interest too for people who want to take the electrified route.
“The ZX-10R anniversary models looked great in the middle of the stand, especially the purple and pink version,” Rob said.
“The Eliminator will be a welcome addition, judging by the number of Vulcan S cruisers we sell. It’s been very popular over the years.”
KTM unveiled its new 990 Duke alongside updated 2024 125 and 390 Dukes.
The KTM 990 Duke brings a bigger-capacity motorbike to the naked range which has a lot of fans.
Suzuki’s big new stars were the GSX-8R, a fully-faired sportsbike based on the naked 8S, the GSX-S1000GX sport tourer crossover and the more road-focused V-Strom 800RE.
Rob said: “The new GSX-8R has a very nice riding position and, knowing what the naked 8S is like, I would imagine it’s going to be very good to ride, with more wind protection.
“The V-Strom 800RE is going to be very popular as it is more road-focussed.
“The GSX-S1000GX is a bit taller than the GT so takes the next step into long-distance touring.”
