KTM’s new large-capacity motorbikes are now in the delivery pipeline and could be an ideal Christmas present for KTM fans.
We expect our first two 990 RC R supersport models to arrive either side of Christmas. The electronic orange one is already sold but the metallic black one will be in stock for sale.
We currently anticipate taking delivery of the 990 Duke R in the first two weeks of January.
The provisional timing for the 1390 Super Adventure S and 2026 690 SMC R are also in the couple of weeks leading up to Christmas but we’re still awaiting confirmation.
The 2026 KTM 990 RC R, priced from £13,499, is its next-generation supersport that features a wealth of motorsport know-how in an exciting road bike.
The 947cc, parallel twin engine now develops 130PS at 9,500rpm and 103Nm of torque at 6,750rpm.
It has a purpose-built steel chassis and diecast aluminium subframe.
The 48mm WP Apex upside-down forks have 130mm of travel and 30-click compression and rebound adjustment and 6mm of preload. Rear shock preload is adjustable.
Sporting DNA is evident with wind-tunnelled aerodynamics and 320mm Brembo HyPure four-piston caliper front brakes.
The 8.8in TFT dash reveals the ride modes – rain, street, sport and custom. Optional ride modes include track and two more custom modes and telemetry, such as lean angle and throttle opening rates for acceleration.
There are also four standard ABS modes.
Weight has been trimmed where possible with the 990 RC R weighing in at 184kg without fuel.
Adjustable footrests will accommodate taller or shorter users. The standard ‘street’ setting can be moved back 25mm and raised 17mm.
A track-only version, stripped of unnecessary parts and fitted with a reduced dashboard, dedicated electronics, removed ABS modulator, direct brake lines and a track-optimised gearbox, debuts in February.
KTM is set to launch the KTM 990 RC R Cup in Europe in spring.
