KTM’s Beast 'Evolves' with adaptive suspension

KTM’s Beast has just got better.

The monstrous 1290 Super Duke R has evolved and spawned the R Evo which gains intuitive semi-active suspension to adapt to the road surface and rider inputs.

The 1290 Super Duke R Evo is available to order now and will be available in early 2022. The price is still to be confirmed.

The suspension has three standard damping modes – comfort, street and sport – and is adjusted via the colour TFT dashboard. The rear spring preload can be tweaked up to 20mm, in increments of 2mm.

An optional Suspension Pro package adds three more damping options – track, advanced and auto. It also automatically adjusts the preload to match the rider’s weight and there is a switchable anti-diving feature for hard braking.

Power comes from the 1,301cc V-Twin engine which develops 180hp and 140Nm of torque.

The 2022 models are available in blue and back and silver and orange, both with an orange frame and wheels.
