KTM and Suzuki shake-up in showroom revamp

Rather than resting on our laurels, we’re making changes while the showroom is shut.

We’re putting the current Covid-19 closure to good use by reorganising the showroom. It’ll be something else for customers to look forward to when we can reopen our doors.

We’re bringing all our KTM products, both motorbikes and merchandise, together in one display area at the front of the building, facing the car park.

To free up the space, our Suzukis are moving to the former KTM display site by the window fronting Ranelagh Road.

Director Dave Willis said: “We want to keep our wide range of KTM merchandise with the motorcycles to concentrate the brand image and make an even bigger impact.”

The large KTM display units from the parts department are going against the wall in the area which used to be occupied by Suzuki. It will make an eye-catching backdrop to the full range of KTM motorbikes.

“It gives the display of KTM products more continuity. If we want more space for the KTM range, we can expand into the coffee area which can move into the back storeroom.

“It’ll also give our Suzuki motorbikes a prominent road-facing display position. It makes sense to do all the work while our showroom is shut.”

We’ll also have more KTM motorbikes on display in the showroom and will be growing our demo fleet with a total of 15 models available over the motorbike riding season.

“This season we’ll also have five ‘presentation’ motorbikes kitted out with KTM PowerParts personalisation and performance items specifically designed and developed to bring out the best from your KTM motorbike,” he said.

Those five PowerParts display bikes will KTM’s 1290 Super Adventure S, 1290 Super Duke R, 890 Adventure, 890 Duke R and 125 Duke.

“They’ll show what parts are available to trick your bike up,” explained Dave.

“We’re going to have at least nine demo models at any one time and these five showroom presentation bikes.”

There will be nine demo bikes at the beginning of the season with six more coming on board later. Last year we had six demo bikes in total so this highlights how important the KTM franchise is for us and how well it is going after its first full year.

We’ll have one of every street bike in the KTM range in the showroom so there will be around 25 bikes on show.

“We’re expanding our KTM presence as the franchise has gone really well and it has a good range of bikes with something for everyone.”

As part of the revamp, we’ll also be refreshing the paintwork and plan to have it all finished in this lockdown.

It all adds up to another reason to visit us again when we’re allowed to open again.
