Fancy a bacon roll and a bike ride?
Our dealership is a popular meeting point for rideouts with Kersey Potter’s food stall on hand to keep people fed and watered.
Kersey has been catering for our customers and riders for more than a decade and his refreshments are an important part of many rideouts.
Kersey, who runs Busta Snax, is usually on the car park outside our dealership from Tuesday to Saturday.
He opens from about 7am until lunchtime weekdays but tends to stay later, until 3pm or 4pm, on Saturdays.
The menu includes bacon rolls, burger and hot dogs as well as hot and cold drinks – just the job before or after a motorbike ride.
Kersey, who has been in the catering trade for nearly 30 years and had a mobile stall since 2007, says the dealership is becoming an increasingly popular meeting place for riders.
“This was always a popular meeting place. On a Saturday in the old days, when Ray Walters owned Orwell Motorcycles, it was heaving down here with bikers meeting up before a ride.
“Over the years they drifted off to other places but it’s gradually getting busier again. It’s picking up to how it used to be.”
After a break from riding, Kersey bought another motorbike from us in 2014.
“I went in to use the toilets and ended up buying a Suzuki Intruder!” he said.
More recently, he bought his current BMW R1250GS from us.
“I have been dealing with Orwells since the ’80s. They are a great bunch.
“And we get a good group of people down here now. There’s a nice social side and we have a good laugh,” he added.
So why not ride over to Ranelagh Road to meet up with other bikers, enjoy a bite to eat with Kersey and pop in and see us too?
