STOP PRESS:
Kawasaki has revealed its new Versys 1100 adventure tourer for the 2025 season.
Evolutionary ‘under the surface’ changes see the inline four-cylinder engine grow from 1,043 to 1,099cc.
Maximum power is up 12%, from 120 to 135PS, over the previous model. Other engine changes improve torque between 4,000 and 7,000rpm.
The updated quick-shifter now has a lower minimum shift point of 1,500rpm.
New upper gear ratios enhance touring comfort partnered with electronic cruise control.
A secondary balancer reduces excess vibration, an oil cooler has been added and the rear brake disc is 10mm bigger at 260mm.
A USB-C port is standard and electronic rider aids includes traction control, cornering management, power mode and riding mode selections.
The SE model gains Showa electronically-damped suspension with the convenience of Kawasaki’s Rideology smartphone App which now responds to voice commands.
There will be three model specifications again with the familiar choice of Tourer and Grand Tourer editions:
- Versys 1100, priced £11,899, finished in Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray/Metallic Diablo Black
- Versys 1100 S, at £13,649, and Versys 1100 SE, £15,649, both offered in Metallic Graphite Gray/Metallic Diablo Black or Pearl Robotic White/Metallic Diablo Black
Prices of edition kits are yet to be confirmed.
The first deliveries are expected in showrooms from December.
