Kawasaki boosts ranges with new models

Kawasaki is teasing some updated models and expanded ranges for 2022.

The Versys 1000 range is getting more adventurous for the new season with a trio of 1000 models as a standard, entry-level version joins S and SE versions.

It has the same engine and chassis as the S and SE but does not have their cornering lights, TFT meter panel, integrated riding modes and highly-durable paint or the SE’s electronically-damped suspension.

The standard Versys 1000 offers the accessory option to add an up/down quick-shifter, large windscreen, heated grips and hand guards plus the pannier and top case luggage options.

The standard Versys 1000 is available only in candy lime green/metallic spark black.

Available from the end of January, the standard model is priced at £10,399, £11,199 for the Tourer and £12,099 for Grand Tourer.

And the supernaked Z900 is being boosted by an SE model with additions in line with the Z900RS SE.

The upgrades include:

  • Brembo brakes on 300mm front discs with steel braided lines
  • 41mm upside-down, gold-coloured forks, fully adjustable for preload, rebound and compression damping
  • Öhlins S46 rear shock absorber with remote preload adjuster
  • Rider aids including traction control, selectable power modes and an assist-and-slipper clutch

The Z900 SE starts at £10,749, there's also a Z900 Performance version at £11,699.
