Kawasaki has unveiled new motorbikes to boost the 2026 naked Z model range.
The Z1100 and Z1100 SE are the new flagship models for the naturally-aspirated Z family while a new Z650 S enters the middleweight market.
The new models are due to arrive in January.
The Z1100 gets fierce-looking LED headlights and a new under-cowl with fins to enhance the Z family’s aggressive Sugomi styling.
They feature a highly-rigid aluminium twin-tube frame, SFF-BP forks and horizontal back-link suspension and monobloc calipers paired with large 310mm brake discs.
The SE model has Brembo brakes and discs, radial-mount monobloc calipers, steel braided brake lines and an Öhlins rear shock absorber with remote pre-load adjuster.
A five-inch all-digital TFT colour instrument display on both models includes turn-by-turn navigation and integrated smartphone connectivity via Kawasaki’s Rideology app with voice command.
Electronic rider aids include new electronic throttle valves for more precise and responsive engine control, cruise control, dual-direction quick-shifter, cornering management, traction control, integrated braking, selectable power modes and sport, road, rain and rider (manual) riding modes.
The 136PS 1,099cc, four-cylinder engine, also in the Versys and Ninja 1100, has been designed for strong low and mid-range response and impressive fuel economy.
The handlebar is 22mm wider and 13mm further forward for better response to rider inputs, making handling feel lighter and sharper.
The Z1100, available in Ebony/Metallic Carbon Grey, is priced at £11,099. The Z1100 SE, in Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Grey/Metallic Matte Carbon Gray, is £12,699.
The new Z650 S tweaks the naked middleweight with muscular new looks, a refreshed forward-leaning riding position and updated technology.
A front cowl houses LED front lights, the handlebar is 30mm wider and a new 4.3in TFT screen offers bar-style or hexagonal tachometer displays.
A more cushioned front seat is 15mm higher and the rear set is 20mm wider than the Z650.
The 649cc parallel twin engine maximises low to mid-range torque. A patented radiator fan cover directs hot air down and away from the rider.
An O2 sensor in the exhaust helps reduce emissions and a quick-shifter is available to aid upshifts.
Traction control is standard.
Twin 300mm front discs and a 220mm rear brake provide the stopping power with a new ABS unit from Continental.
Accessories include colour-matched pillion seat covers, luggage options and a USB-C outlet inside the front cowl.
The Z650 S, priced at £7,199, is available in three colours – Ebony/Metallic Carbon Gray, Candy Lime Green/Metallic Carbon Gray and Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray/Metallic Flat Spark Black.
