Jordan goes from customer to parts counter

Jordan Tournay-Godfrey recently joined our parts department but he’s no stranger to Orwell Motorcycles.

Jordan is a third-generation customer of our business, along with his grandfather and dad, and all have bought motorbikes from us.

Jordan, 20, joined us as a parts, clothing and accessories advisor, along with Alex White. He is used to working in the supply chain having been employed in a warehouse preparing shipments for lorries.

Born and raised in Ipswich, the 20-year-old comes from a family of bikers who have been regular customers and his grandfather told him we were recruiting. Jordan applied and the rest, as they say, is history.

Jordan feels very much at home, having joined us four months ago.

“The job is always changing with something new every day,” he said.

“It’s the people who bring it to life. It’s a nice environment, talking about bikes and working with bikes.”

Jordan currently rides a KTM Duke 125 and is doing his A2 training. He is also thinking about doing some motocross riding next year.

His first bike was an Aprilia SR50 scooter when he was 16 and then he had a Honda MSX 125 at 18.

Working behind the parts counter and on the shop floor, he’s getting to know all about the products so he can give our customers sound advice.

“There’s more to the job than you think, learning about all the products,” he said.
