Jack Grant joined our sales team after a varied career in the motor industry and is relishing his new challenge.
Our new Kawasaki sales specialist also has wide experience of buying and selling in his varied career.
He started out designing and fitting vehicle and display graphics and full wraps for eight years before going into sales at a car dealership. Then Covid struck and he was made redundant.
He moved into motorbike sales at a Kawasaki dealership but was again made redundant in the second lockdown.
With a first child on the way, Jack, 31, went into buying and importing goods, such as garden equipment, for online sales.
Then a vacancy came up at Orwell Motorcycles and he could bring all that experience to the sales team.
He has always liked to work ‘front of house’, hence moving into sales but then got diverted before coming back to it.
“I’m really enjoying working at Orwell Motorcycles. I think the people, the staff and everyone here have been amazing and super welcoming. They have been so helpful,” he said.
He has been particularly impressed how supportive the sales team of Stefan, Liam and Alex has been ahead of the birth of his second child with partner Megan.
“I’m enjoying talking to people whereas in online sales you don’t talk to anyone. Being out and about, talking to people and hearing their stories is lovely.
“There’s nothing better than talking to someone who doesn’t really know what they want and guiding them towards something they will love and cherish. It’s a really rewarding job.”
Having passed his test on an Aprilia 125, Jack owned a 2000 Triumph Daytona 600 for six years but sold it this year having not had the chance to ride it after becoming a father a couple of years ago.
Jack, who lives just outside Ipswich with Megan and their daughter and newborn son, hopes to get back on two wheels next year.
He will certainly be spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing a new motorbike now he works at Orwell Motorcycles.
