Our open evening for new Kawasaki motorbikes had the wow factor with around 150 guests enjoying a very sociable event.
The ‘Supercharged and Versatile’ open evening focused particularly on the new, ground-breaking Ninja H2 SX SE+ hyper sports tourer and all-new Versys 1000 SE.
Both gain electronic control suspension with modes and preloads which can be adjusted remotely via Bluetooth using the new Rideology smartphone app or from the bike while riding.
They also get a TFT dash giving information on throttle, braking and lean angles, up and down quickshifter, cornering headlights and self-healing paint which can ‘repair’ minor scratches.
Other new and updated models given a star role were the Ninja 125 and Z125, naked Z400, Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-6R supersport bike, the latter now with a more potent 636cc engine.
Other bikes on show included a Team Tinker Racing Kawasaki and an original 1976 Z900 which revived memories and received lots of admiring looks.
Our friends from Suffolk Advanced Motorcyclist, part of IAM Roadsmart, joined us to promote safe riding.
