We have some great prizes in our charity raffle this month to help two very deserving causes.
For the whole of this month we are selling tickets in the showroom for the raffle in aid of Mental Health Motorbike and Ipswich-based St Elizabeth Hospice.
The charity raffle is the brainchild of Molly Mizon, our marketing specialist, and Kawasaki sales executive Stefan Walker who knows someone who works for Mental Health Motorbike.
We also decided to help local charity St Elizabeth Hospice because it is such an important part of the community.
Molly said: “We follow them on Instagram, and decided we could do something to help, so contacted them.”
Paul Oxbridge, founder of Mental Health Motorbike, rode all the way from Derby to visit the dealership and promote the charity’s work.
He set up the charity after a good friend took his own life.
“We are spending the whole of July raising money for Mental Health Motorbike and St Elizabath Hospice,” said Molly.
“On the first weekend of August I am going to draw all the prize tickets and put the results out across social media.”
Raffle tickets are £2 each, £10 a strip or £20 for three strips which means you get one free strip… how can you resist helping the good cause with such a good deal!
Mental Health Motorbike is a free support charity for the biker community in the UK.
It exists to:
- Promote the wellbeing benefits of motorcycling.
- Provide a network of support for bikers, by bikers.
- Improve wellbeing within the motorcycling community.
Its ultimate aim is to reduce suicide among bikers in the UK.
It is building a free, dedicated national network of trained volunteer mental health first-aiders who can support bikers and their families across the UK.
One of its primary objectives is to get qualified mental health first-aiders in a bike shop or club in every UK town and city.
St Elizabeth Hospice is an independent Suffolk charity which delivers care to more than 4,000 patients and their families a year who are living with a progressive or life-limiting illness throughout East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney.
These services cost around £12m each year and the charity raises 70% of funds via revenue streams and the generosity of the community supporting its shops and fund-raising activities.
