Fred fired up by debut BSB junior supersport season

Fred Mcmullan, our sponsored rider in the British Superbike Championship’s Junior Supersport class, finished his season 23rd overall.

The 15-year-old, from Leiston, was happy to finish mid-table in the standings with a creditable 13 points. All were gained at the Snetterton round where he showed his potential against older, and more experienced, riders.

The eighth, and final, round at the Brands Hatch GP circuit in mid-October saw him finish the first race 18th from 20th on the grid. Mixed weather did not help with tyre choice and a red flag ended the race early.

He started race two from 21st but finished 25th.

Fred has fought hard every round and 23rd overall, and some consistent performances, was a promising debut season in junior supersport which he’s looking to build on next year.

“I was very pleased that I finished in the points,” said Fred.

“I enjoyed every moment of it.”

As well as gaining more valuable racing experience, Fred also learned more about setting the bike up for each race which will help him next season.
