Dale Allaton’s stunning, personalised Suzuki GSX-8S was the centre of attention while in our showroom.
Our Suzuki sales specialist had it repainted in the colours of Kevin Schwantz’s Lucky Strike number 34 race bike.
It was on that Suzuki RGV500 that he won the 1993 World 500cc Motorcycle Grand Prix Championship.
Motorcycle paintwork specialists Dream Machine, in Nottingham, had Dale’s Suzuki for eight weeks. Originally white with a blue frame and wheels, the company transformed its looks by repainting the wheels, sub-frame, tank, rear section and front mudguard in white and red with smart graphics.
“I just wanted it to look a little different because we’re selling a high volume of this bike and I wanted mine to stand out,” said Dale.
He was so pleased with the paintjob that we displayed it in our showroom for a couple of weeks in December while it awaited further work.
His personalisation project also included fitting a full Arrow exhaust system and upgraded adjustable rear shock absorber.
Dale plans to keep his Suzuki for track days and road-riding in good weather.
