Time to get a good buy with demo fleet sale
It is hard to believe that it is already September and, given the wet spring weather and faltering start to summer, the warm riding season’s days are numbered.
And, with East Anglian Copdock Bike Show at the beginning of this month our final big Orwell Motorcycles outing of the year, we turn our thoughts to whittling down our demo fleet ahead of winter.
Rob Walters said: “We slim our demo fleet down over the winter but keep a few for courtesy bikes and demo rides.”
Less harsh weather means the winter does not seem as long as it used to and, before you know it, the new 2025 models start to be launched. Then new demo motorbikes filter through and we replace those test models we had kept.
“We have had a lot of demo bikes this year, our biggest fleet, which was good because it gets riders out on them.”
The motorbikes on our demo fleet are well cared for and maintained, most have had their first service and they tend to be low mileage.
Some have optional extras fitted, particularly KTMs which often have the full electronics packs so customers can enjoy a comprehensive test ride and try out all the features.
We also have a few KTM motorbikes in the showroom dressed up with accessories which we have to keep for a certain amount of time. We then sell them to make way for updated display bikes.
“They also offer a good saving on the new price,” said Rob.
