Our plan to open a new CFMoto franchise has hit a snag with the Chinese brand looking for a new UK distributor.
The news came after we’d announced our new franchise, updated our website and even cleared an area in the showroom to display CFMoto models.
CFMoto’s UK distributor was Pierer Mobility Group, which owns KTM. It has mutually agreed to end the distribution agreement for CFMoto by the end of May to focus on repositioning its own brands and build their success.
A new importer will take over from June but has yet to be revealed.
That means we’ve currently been terminated as a CFMoto dealer, before we even really started, and are awaiting a new distributor so we can move forward again.
Dave Willis said: “It won’t be until June or July at the earliest so it’s been a bit of a false start with CFMoto.
“We had cleared part of the showroom to make space and put the brand up on our website.”
