CFMOTO’s new 800MT-ES adventure touring flagship, with intelligent electronic suspension, is due to arrive in the showroom in September.
We’ll have a Neptune Blue and Black model in the showroom but it’s also available to order in Glacier White and Black.
Jack Grant, our CFMOTO sales specialist, said there had already been a lot of inquiries and interest about the 800MT-ES which is priced from £8,698 on the road.
The intelligent suspension system continuously adapts to road conditions, speed and load.
It features four-stage preload adjustment to match rider, passenger and luggage, has comfort, standard and sport damping and real-time adaptive control.
It reads changing load, speed, and surface conditions and adjusts compression and rebound to keep the bike planted. Anti-wheelie and anti-recoil functions cut unwanted front-end lift and kickback for smoother, more controlled acceleration.
A six-axis IMU feeds lean angle and motion data to Bosch motorcycle stability control which co-ordinates cornering ABS and traction control in real time to keep grip and balance through turns.
Drag torque control smooths out power delivery and wheelie control keeps the front end down.
There are four riding modes – sport, rain, off-road and all-terrain.
The 799cc liquid-cooled, parallel twin engine produces 91PS at 9,250rpm and 75Nm of torque at 8,000rpm.
The advanced suite of electronics includes radar detection system, cruise control, 8in smart TFT display, tyre pressure monitoring, heated grips and seat, bi-directional quickshifter and steering stabiliser.
The seat height is 825mm, kerb weight 231kg and the 19-litre fuel tank should give a decent range.
The 800MT-ES benefits from CFMOTO’s four-year warranty.
