Business as usual as KTM restructures for stronger future

POSTED: 31/12/2024

It’s business as usual for KTM which is currently undergoing a 90-day ‘self-administration’ process to restructure the company and its finances.

KTM has issued several statements to customers and dealerships about what is happening and its plan for an even stronger future.

KTM has grown from 160 employees and a production volume of 6,000 units in 1992 to a capacity of up to 1,000 motorbikes a day.

We’ve seen no slow-down in demand for KTMs at this dealership since the restructuring news broke.

Dave Willis said: “We’re still selling KTMs.

“We’ve been told our first display bike for this year is out for delivery and we’ve ordered our KTM bikes for the new season.”

There had been some concerns from customers but they were now happy KTM was here to stay.

“We have a number of customers who have put deposits down on 2025 KTM models and one has paid up front for his,” he added.

While the restructuring process is going on, KTM will continue to deliver motorbikes, spare parts and technical accessories to authorised dealerships and maintain customer service support and warranties.
