There’s a new friendly face behind our service reception desk with Alice Auton-Warby joining the workshop team.
Working as a service adviser is not new to Alice but it’s a big change in vehicles.
She had worked on service reception for an HGV dealership for a couple of years but, with an interest in motorbikes, joining Orwell Motorcycles was a good move.
Her partner, Toby, encouraged her to apply for the job on our service reception.
“My partner is into bikes and track bikes. I’ve always been interested in them and he was getting me more interested.
“He said I would be perfect if a job came up at Orwell Motorcycles and, when it did, I went for it.
“It’s such a nice place to be and the family-oriented atmosphere encouraged me,” said Alice, who is marrying Toby in September, and also shares her life with spaniels Rosie and Mila.
She rides a Honda 125 and has done her CBT but not yet taken her test. Toby has a KTM 790 Duke for the road and a Yamaha R1 for the track.
She has settled into life at Orwell Motorcycles and enjoys meeting customers.
“I thrive with people. Motorbikes are people’s hobbies and they want you to look after them so you have nice interactions. The people are nice and friendly.
“We have regular customers coming in and bringing biscuits. How can you not like that!”
